Important reminders for your patients

  • Patients should never withdraw Toujeo® from the SoloStar® disposable prefilled pen with a syringe
  • Needles should never be reused
    • A new sterile needle must be used for each injection
    • Reusing needles increases the risk of blocked needles, which may cause underdosing or overdosing
    • Using a new sterile needle for each injection also minimizes the risk of contamination and infection
  • When filling the needle prescription, ensure that patients receive the correct type and number of needles
